Ooooo goody... Chocolate

A confectionary company is marketing a new brand of chocolate bar. 'Yummo' comes in 3 flavours, Strawberry, CoaCoa and Banana. They have a few selected outlets and wish us to deliver their chocolate to Arlington, Darrington and Skykomish. A salesman will tag along to oversee the delivries. Barney needn't ask me twice.

KBFI-KAWO-1S2-S88-KBFI. Cessna. Lotsa chocolates and 1 passenger. 137nm @ $10.00 = 1370. Weather scattered clouds, light winds, vis 50. very strong. Roll 4. "YUMMO!"

PIREP

The weather was a low ceiling of broken cloud and moderate winds. The Cessna was thrown about a bit and my passenger, Leon, was not very relaxed about it. On our way to Arlington he attempted to complete his delivery paperwork but nausea took over and he was unable to complete it as even the latest ball point pen technology simply cannot compete with vomit
I gave him an oily rag to wipe himself clean and in gratitiude he told me to help myself to a few chocolate bar samples. I happily complied.

At Arlington we taxied to the apron and I helped unload a few cartons of Yummo bars while Leon hurried to the restrooms to refresh himself and try to clean his suit. A shame one of the boxes came apart as I hoisted it out of the plane and some choccies spilled everywhere including under the seats.

Away and climbing enroute to Darrington the clouds closed in a little and turbulence increased. As Leon was busy with his PGA sickbag I tried a little experiment with the Yummo bars. I discovered that by taking one bite from each of the flavours the resulting taste is of mushroom soup with vegemite. Since I don't like mushroom soup I did not persist but I thought it interesting enough to tell Leon who spewed some more.

Darrington was the same procedure and by the time we reached Skykomish the weather was a bit dicey for a landing due to poor visibility. I explained to Leon that if we spot the airport I could dive down into the valley, get onto left base then throw a tight lefthand turn to give me time to lose more altitude and line up for a landing. We did spot the airport from about 6000' and as I performed the manouvre some more chocolates got spilled from their packing. By this time I had decided that the banana flavoured Yummos' were definitely the go, the strawberry being a bit too sugary for my tastebuds.

Back at Boeing I kindly asked Leon to dispose of all his sickbags appropriately and he staggered off to do so leaving a final splash of vomit on the apron as he went.

All in all it was an enjoyable charter and my generous passenger did'nt seem to mind leaving all the loose chocolate bars in the plane. I went into the office to see what was what and noticed a stranger there sticking pins into the area map on the wall. "Who are you" I asked. "Herbert" he replied "your despatch clerk" "Wheres Barney" I asked. "Back in Olympia where he presides" he replied. "Oh OK" I said. "Do you want some Yummo chocolate bars Herbert? Sorry but I ate all the banana ones"
