18? Not anywhere in the states I know of except federal land - anymore.
I went to college in the 3.2 Beer Capitol of the World - Oxford, Ohio, home to Miami University. And no - not University of Miami - see the white folk chased the Miami Indians from Southern Ohio all the way to Florida - hence the two names refer to the same tribe.

Yep, Ohio had "Blue Laws" that allowed 18 years old to drink 3.2% beer. Ever try to get drunk on that? Used to starve all day Friday so we could get smashed Friday night. I can't remember how much beer was drunk per capita but it was a staggering amount of gallons per person.

Anywho - Voting age, marriage age, DRAFTING age, go out and earn your own durned living age. Just no alchy ;-) Not quite fair in my opinion.

Oh shucks :-) I didn't think any of you would remember!!

I am legally able to have many drinksies...as I am from down-under remember 8-)

As such...much alcohol was consumed at my party....and believe me I had one for each and everyone of you on the forums at some stage during the evening!! :laugh:

I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner...I have been pretty darn busy with Uni exams in the next few weeks, before that I was busily studying for my real world Private Pilot Test....which I happened to pass :-D :-D It was a bit of an early birthday present for me....I passed the flight test on the 20th of October. Henceforth I am now a real-world licenced pilot! :heheh:

Now I just have to con my flying school into letting me hire the old Archer for a cross-Pacific nav.... :heheh:

Anyway, thanks again for those birthday wishes and you will be seeing more of me in the skies after exams, FS2004 has now found its way onto my computer and the joystick will be dusted off.

Back to the Uni books! :-(
